Blokarts have arrived at Chapel Gate and are fun for all !

The truly amazing aspect of the Blokart, and the reason it’s exploded into popularity, is that the fun is instantaneous. You climb in, you strap up and you buzz off. After two or three turns it begins to dawn on you that it really is as simple as it seems, and you relax, lie back and enjoy. It is a genuinely intuitive machine, which means that we can happily strap in a 7-year-old child, and leave them to it. Granny will have no qualms about climbing in too, which often results in a hilarious scene where 3 generations of the same family are racing each other round a car park hooting with laughter.

The more competitive of you may like to race !! Whatever!! You will not be able to keep a smile off your face.

New General Manager Starts

Bournemouth Sports Club’s newly appointed General Manager started on the 16th November. For those of you that have not yet met him, his name is Simon Stewart. Simon has an extensive background in leisure management in both the private and public sector and is really excited about being part of the team at Bournemouth Sports Club ‘being part of such a prestigious club is truely inspiring. I’m really looking forward to working with such talented and dedicated individuals to help develop the site into a leading sports venue.’

New Chairman at Chapel Gate

Chapel Gate is delighted to advise that Mr Martin Grevett, an active member and player for the Bournemouth Hockey Club and member of the Executive Commitee for the last 18 months has now been annouced Chairman of Chapel Gate, Bournemouth Sports Club Ltd.
First joining the Hockey section 45 years ago, Martin is a dedicated member of the team and offers fresh ideas to take the club forward, supported by newly appointed Vice Chairman David Williams and also by Helen Wraight who continues as Secretary.

Held at County Ground Derby on Monday 28th September,

1.05pm 1st Semi-Final:- Bournemouth v Reigate Priory
15.25pm 2nd Semi-Final:- Cuckney v Ockbrook and Borrowash
18.45pm National: Final

For those who can not make it, Chapel Gate will be showing the finals live on Sky from 12.05pm on 28th September, with full bar facilities avaiable and basket meals for just £5.

Southern Sport Elite Rugby Coaching

Chapel Gate hosted the Southern Sports Elite Rugby Coaching Course from 10-14th August 2009 which went down with great success. Qualified coaches trained boys and girls aged 7-16 years to develop their handling skills and learn the evasive forceful running styles used by professional players. Well done to everyone who got involved and many thanks to the coaches.
